The title racing in Spain is heating up as we head into week 34 of the La Liga season.

Barcelona have a huge opportunity of topping the log for the first time this season after both Atletico and Real Madrid dropped points this past weekend.

Los Blancos suffered a disappointing draw at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano when they played to a goalless draw against Real Betis while Atletico were shocked to a 2-1 defeat at the San Mames against Athletic Bilbao. Barcelona are two points behind the Madrid clubs with a game in hand and should they win that match they will be top of the table.

19/20 Celta Vigo | Draw 49/29 | Levante 29/10

We kick-off the weekend fixtures with a low-key affair as Celta Vigo welcome Levante to the Abanca Balaidos. Both sides are nowhere near relegation zone and are far from Europa League qualification zone meaning both these sides will just finish in the mid-table. Celta Vigo ended their three-match winless run when they beat Osasuna last Sunday while their opponents suffered their third straight defeat when losing to Elche. It’s hard to separate these two clubs but back Celta Vigo to clinch a narrow win.

Saturday 1 May

13/10 Eibar | Draw 2/1 | Alaves 23/10

Eibar can expect a move to the second-tier next season with their current position on the log. The host are bottom of the table but are also close to making it out, given they can yield all points from the remaining games. They currently have the worst form in Europe, as they are winless in 16 matches which includes 12 defeats. Alaves are two points above the drop zone thanks to their recent form of two draws and two wins in their last four matches. Back Alaves to win this match convincingly.

6/1 Elche | Draw 33/10 | Atletico Madrid 9/20

By the time this game starts Atletico Madrid could be second on the log for the first time this year depending on the midweek results between Barcelona and Granada. Regardless of that outcome, this is a must win for Diego Simeone’s men who’ve won just twice in their last five matches. Elche are also fighting for their lives in the bottom end of the table as they are just one point ahead from the red zone. Not an easy game but back Atletico Madrid to walk away with three points.

26/10 Huesca | Draw 5/2 | Real Sociedad 1/1

The last three games were a huge set-back for Huesca who had done an incredible job of moving out of the relegation zone, but the three successive defeats brought them back and as things stand, they will play in Segunda next season. However, one win can change everything as they are two points away from safety. Real Sociedad who started the season like a house on fire are now officially out of the top-four race as they are 20 points behind fourth-placed Sevilla. However, only one point separates fifth and seventh so they will want to at least qualify for the Europa League. Tough one to call but back these sides to cancel each other out.

7/20 Real Madrid | Draw 4/1 | Osasuna 7/1

Back-to-back goalless draws mean that Real Madrid’s chances of defending their crown are now slim. Madrid has to hope other teams do them a favor by beating Barcelona and Atletico Madrid or else they will finish third. Los Blanco have done well in the UEFA Champions League where they will face an on-form Chelsea in the semi-finals and to be honest they don’t have a big squad that can compete in both competitions. Knowing Zinedine Zidane, he will prioritize the Champions League. Play it safe and back Both Teams To Score (Yes) here.

Sunday 2 May

21/10 Real Valladolid | Draw 24/10 | Real Betis 5/4

Real Valladolid missed out on an opportunity to move out of the relegation zone last weekend when they conceded late to draw one-all with Cadiz. This is a must-win match for the hosts if they are to stand any chances of surviving the axe. Real Betis walked away with a point away to Real Madrid last Saturday and will be confident against a relegation-threatened team. Back Real Betis to return to winning ways.

19/20 Villarreal | Draw 21/10 | Getafe 34/10

Villarreal have put all their eggs in one basket and that’s the Europa League where they are in the semifinals. The Yellow Submarine have made their intentions clear and that’s winning the Europa League hence they’ve been resting players in the league. Because of that, the hosts have lost three of their last four matches. Getafe ended their seven-match winless run when they defeated Huesca 2-0 last time out and will be confident to get back-to-back wins for the first time since January. Back a share of the spoils here.

19/20 Granada | Draw 43/20 | Cadiz 32/10

Granada played against Barcelona on Thursday and that could work in Cadiz’ advantage because they’ve had enough time to rest. The visitors have also done very well this season and are definitely the surprise package of the season. Back the visitors on a Win/Draw Double Chance.

58/10 Valencia | Draw 42/10 | Barcelona 7/20

Barcelona’s faith is now in their own hands and they don’t need any favors from anyone. The task is now simple for Ronald Koeman’s men, win all the matches and you will be crowned La Liga champions. The Catalans face a side that has been struggling throughout the season and failing to win here would mean Barca are not ready to be crowned Spanish champions. Back Barcelona on the (-1) Handicap.

Monday 3 May

13/20 Sevilla | Draw 11/4 | Athletic Bilbao 42/10

Not only have Sevilla secured top four but they are back in the title race as they are three points behind Atletico Madrid. Knowing Julen Lopetegui, he will want to fight until it’s mathematical impossible to win the league. This won’t be an easy task as it means they should win all their remaining matches starting against a team that beat leaders Atletico last Sunday. Back Sevilla to win here.

TREBLE @ 47/10

Real Madrid Win 7/20
Real Betis Win 5/4
Barcelona (-1) Handicap 9/10
