Spanish La Liga; Gameweek 35 Preview

Real Madrid players celebrate a goal

Sergio Ramos scored yet another vital goal in Real Madrid’s campaign for the La Liga title. Ramos converted from the spot after the La Liga leaders again benefited from a VAR review as they beat Athletic Bilbao. Zinedine Zidane’s men need three wins to clinch the title. Does Barcelona still have a chance?

Monday 06 July

Levante 23/10
Draw  49/20
Real Sociedad 23/20
Levante’s good form came at the right time when it matters most. The hosts have lost once in their last seven matches and that ensured they are safe from relegation and will play top flight next season. Real Sociedad finally returned to winning ways when they beat relegated Espanyol and will aim to carry the trend forward. Levante have drawn four of their last seven encounters so continue the trend and back these sides to cancel each other out.

Sevilla  4/10
Draw 7/2
Eibar 13/2
Top four chasing Sevilla will welcome Eibar to the Estadio Sanchez Stadium. The hosts are desperately trying to hold on to their fourth positions which gives them a ticket to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Three wins from the remaining four will be enough for Sevilla. Back the hosts at 4/10.

Tuesday 07 July

Valencia 9/10
Draw 23/10
Valladolid 33/10
Valencia sacked their coach after a poor string of results and missing out in next seasons UCL. The hosts still have a chance to qualify for Europa League. Real Valladolid have really struggled on the road this season and their form will be put to test at Mestalla Stadium. Back Valencia to turn things around 9/10.

Celta De Vigo 28/10
Draw 2/1
Atl Madrid 11/10
Atletico Madrid have won five of their last six matches and are unbeaten in their last 14 matches including visits to Anfield and Nou Camp. Despite their good form, Atleti still haven’t sealed third place and a win here will ensure they finish behind the two big guns. Back Atletico Madrid at a valuable 11/10.

Wednesday 08 July

Real Betis 23/20
Draw 47/20
Osasuna 23/10
Real Betis have been guilty of dropping points, winning just once since the return of football. Osasuna are unbeaten in their last four matches and collected 10 points in the process but their away form will probably despise them in the clash. It’s hard to separate these two teams so back goals in this encounter. Back Both Teams to Score 15/20.

Getafe 29/20
Draw 2/1
Villarreal 2/1
The fight for top four continues when these sides tackle each other. Whoever drops points here will be officially out of the top four race. Villarreal currently occupy the fifth and are three points behind fourth-placed Sevilla and Getafe are on sixth – a point behind their opponents. This is a do or die clash so back these sides to cancel each other out.

Barcelona 2/13
Draw 13/2
Espanyol 16/1
Barcelona cannot afford to drop anymore points as they are four points behind leaders Real Madrid who need three wins to clinch the title. Barca need to win all remaining four games and hope Madrid lose twice. Espanyol are already relegated so there’s nothing much to play for on their side. Maybe preparing for Segunda is the best thing to do at the moment. Back Barca to win Both Halves at 11/10.

Thursday 09 July

Mallorca 12/10
Draw 49/20
Levante 21/10
Mallorca can still mathematically survive relegation but for me I think it’s all over for Los Bermellones who are six points behind Alaves, Celta Vigo and Eibar. Failure to win this match will definitely be confirmation of relegation meaning the next four matches are a must-win for the hosts. There’s too much pressure on Mallorca so back Levante to capitalize on that.

Eibar 31/20
Draw 2/1
Leganes 2/1
Leganes are as good as gone from the league at the moment. Not only are they placed second-last on the table, but with just four match-days remaining, they have a huge deficit to overcome in order to avoid the boot. Suffice it to say, they will be taking part in the Segunda Division in 2020-21. For Eibar, currently placed 17th on the standings, with a six-point lead over the cut-off, this match-up seems a golden opportunity to ensure safety. Back Eibar to ensure safety while sending Leganes to Segunda.

Atl Bilbao 43/20
Draw 2/1
Sevilla 29/20
Athletic Bilbao can still make it to Europa League next season and Sevilla are desperately trying to hold on to their fourth spot – so we can expect fireworks in this encounter. In the last seven meetings each of these sides have won three while the last match ended in a stalemate. Get on Back Teams to Score at 21/20.

Friday 10 July

Real Madrid 1/5
Draw 52/10
Alaves 25/2
Zinedine Zidane feels his Real Madrid players deserve more respect as he is “tired” of their victories being attributed to refereeing decisions. Madrid have been benefitting a lot from VAR reviews in recent matches and have been getting dubious penalties. Los Blancos need three wins and they will be crowned La Liga champions and I don’t think they will need any penalty to beat this Alaves side. Back Real Madrid to thrash Alaves on a (-1) Handicap at 11/20.

TREBLE @ 10/1
Eibar win 39/20
Atletico Madrid win 11/10
Barcelona win Both Halves 11/10
