Spanish La Liga: Gameweek 37 Preview

Real Madrid are two points from LaLiga title after beating Granada 2-1 on Monday night. With two games left, Madrid will be crowned champions if they beat Villarreal at home on Thursday regardless of how Barca fare at the Camp Nou against Osasuna.

Thursday 16 July

Eibar 5/4
Draw 2/1
Valladolid 5/2
We open the penultimate round with a dead rubber fixtures, where two sides with nothing but pride to play for will lock horns at Municipal de Ipurua Stadium. Both clubs have amassed 39 points from 36 games, with Valladolid currently one spot higher due to their superior head-to-head record. Hard to separate these two sides so back goals in this match. Both Teams to Score at 21/20 is my play.

Real Madrid 9/20
Draw 15/4
Villarreal 11/2
Real Madrid will welcome Villarreal to the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium knowing that a win would see them win the 2019-20 La Liga title. Los Blancos will wrap up their league campaign with a win. As of now, they have 83 points from their 36 fixtures, while arch-rivals Barcelona could manage just 79 from the same number of games. Back Real Madrid to be crowned La Liga champions at 9/20.

Real Betis 7/20
Draw 22/10
Alaves 2/1
Alaves head to Real Betis on Thursday evening seeking a victory that they need to guarantee survival. The hosts are struggling for form and have nothing much to play for. While Alaves have also been poor, it’s now or never for them as they could still be relegated. At this time of the season, always back a team that really needs points. Therefore, back Alaves on a Win/Draw Double Chance at 11/20.

Getafe 51/20
Draw 19/10
Atl Madrid 13/10
Getafe welcome local rivals Atletico Madrid to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez for the penultimate match of their respective La Liga campaigns. Jose Bordalas’s men are currently placed sixth in the table, and in possession of the final direct-entry ticket into the Europa League. Both these teams have been pushing for European qualification throughout the campaign, but since the restart Getafe have from convincing. Considering Getafe’s form, expect a comfortable win from Atletico Madrid.

Sociedad 13/10
Draw 47/20
Sevilla 2/1
Real Sociedad will welcom Sevilla to the Anoeta Stadium in their last home game of the season where the hosts will be aiming to join their opponents in securing European football. Sevilla have made it into next seasons Champions League. A win for the home team will see them level on points with fifth-placed Villarreal who face Real Madrid away. Back Real Sociedad to win here at 13/10.

Atl Bilbao 17/20
Draw 47/20
Leganes 36/10
Athletic Bilbao and Leganes are in desperate need of victory as they need to win both their remaining fixtures and hope for favours if they are to qualify for next seasons Europa League. Leganes have picked up seven points from their last three matches and have given themselves a narrow chance to survive relegation. Both teams are desperate for a win here so back these sides to cancel each other out.

Celta Vigo 6/10
Draw 31/10
Levante 17/4
Celta Vigo are still in the relegation fight and will look to secure safety when they welcome fellow strugglers. The Celts are winless in five matches and have a four-point buffer on the red zone with two games to go, while Levante are without a win in four which has seen them drop to 12th. Back Under 2.5 Goals at 11/10.

Mallorca 21/20
Draw 49/20
Granada 5/2
Mallorca welcome Granada to the Mallorca Stadium knowing that only a win will keep them in La Liga going into the last round. Both teams are desperate for points. For Diego Martinez’s men, it’s their last chance to make it to Europe, while for their counterparts, it’s a battle of survival. A very rough game here but Mallorca should get a narrow win.

Valencia 11/20
Draw 3/1
Espanyol 47/10
Valencia will be aiming to keep their slim hopes of a top-seven finish alive when they welcome already-relegated Espanyol to the Mestalla Stadium in their penultimate game of the season. For me, the hosts will not qualify for Europa League but their new coach will want to finish the season on a high. Back the hosts at 11/20.

Barcelona 1/6
Draw 6/1
Osasuna 14/1
Barcelona are currently second in the table, four points behind leaders Real Madrid, who will win the title if they manage to beat Villarreal. The defending champions may have given up on La Liga but they will be aiming to break their own record of being unbeaten at home throughout the season. Back Barcelona to run riot on a (-1) Handicap at 9/20.

TREBLE @ 9/1
Eibar v Valladolid BTTS 21/20
Atletico Madrid win 13/10
Celta Vigo v Levante U2,5 Goals at 11/10
