Saturday 17 October
Granada 32/10
Draw 24/1
Sevilla 9/10 (13:00)
Sevilla were one of the best teams in the league last season and they finished off their campaign in fine style by winning the Europa League. Julen Lopetegui’s side have started the season brightly, beating Cadiz and Levante, while also picking a point away to Barcelona. Back the Europa League champions to win this one.
Celta Vigo 9/2
Draw 24/10
Atletico Madrid 7/10 (16:00)
Atletico Madrid had set huge hopes on this season. They’ve bolstered their ranks with the acquistion of Luis Suarez from Barcelona to complete a terrific strike force along with Joao Felix and Diego Costa. However, they drew their two last games and that was away to Huesca and at home to Villarreal. Despite their underwhelming start, I fancy Atletico Madrid to win at 7/10.
Real Madrid 1/4
Draw 5/1
Cadiz 11/1 (18:30)
Reigning champions Real Madrid are top of the table with 10 points from four games and this is a perfect opportunity to stretch their lead when they host minnows Cadiz. Back Los Blancos to win Both Halves at 15/10.
Getafe 37/10
Draw 11/4
Barcelona 7/10 (21:00)
Barcelona have scored eight goals in the first three matches with Ansu Fati the destroyer-in-chief. Getafe are no pushovers and they’ve done very well over the last two seasons. Not with much confidence, but I’ll go with Barcelona.
Sunday 18 October
Eibar 15/10
Draw 2/1
Osasuna 21/10 (12:00)
Eibar have lost three of their five opening games in the league. They also struggled towards the end of last season and have not been that hot on the road in the past several weeks as well. Osasuna have won two of their four matches played and found the back of the net in three of the four matches. Neither team can be trusted, so back Both Teams to Score at 21/20.
Athletic Bilbao 1/1
Draw 22/10
Levante 3/1 (14:00)
Athletic Bilbao had hoped for a far better beginning to their campaign, but they suffered two losses right away which has set them back a bit. They did, however, record a win in their first fixture and would give anything for another three points this weekend. They do have a favourable game this week, considering that they are taking on a team that’s struggling as well. Back the hosts to win the match.
Villarreal 13/20
Draw 3/1
Valencia 4/1 (16:00)
Both teams had unexpected results in their latest league fixtures and that has given them a slight reality check. After all the money splurged in the transfer market, Valencia were held to a draw by newly-promoted Huesca and lost to Celta Vigo and Real Betis. Meanwhile, Villarreal are currently fourth on the standings with eight points from five matches. Back these teams to cancel each other out.
Alaves 7/10
Draw 47/20
Elche 9/2 (18:30)
Alaves had started the season strong last season but towards the end of the campaign, they slipped worryingly down the standings. The sole reason they were not in a battle to avoid relegation was due to the points they had accumulated earlier. This season, they’ve started very slow, collecting four points in their first five matches. Elche also look like a team that will be fighting relegation for most part of the season. Hard to separate these two teams, so, back a draw here.
Huesca 27/20
Draw 37/20
Valladolid 49/20 (18:30)
Real Valladolid are so far the worst team in the whole division as they are placed dead last in the table at the moment. As of now, they are winless in their five matches played and have also conceded the second-most goals. Huesca have managed to force draws against tougher opponents like Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Valencia, but were easily beaten by Cadiz. Tough one to call but I’ll back Huesca to clinch maximum points.
Real Betis 27/20
Draw 24/10
Sociedad 19/10 (21:00)
Under the tutelage of Manuel Pellegrini, Real Betis have raced to the top of the table with a good winning record and only Real Madrid have more points than them. Back the hosts to continue their good form in Sunday’s late kickoff.
TREBLE @ 6/1
Real Madrid To Win Both Halves 15/10
Barcelona Win 7/10
Atletico Madrid Win 7/10
