West London side Brentford have emerged as a modern footballing success story from a modest origin to a trailblazing Premier League outfit. Thomas Frank’s side has gone from mid-table Championship contenders to competing with the footballing giants of the Premier League.

Adopting Oakland A’s baseball executive Billy Beane’s stat-driven “Moneyball” system – popularised by Brad Pitt in the Hollywood movie adaption of the same name – Brentford has garnered incredible success by exceeding expectations on a limited budget.

Hollywoodbets similarly originated from humble beginnings to a globally recognised phenomenon in the sports betting and online casino industry.

Broadcaster Robert Marawa shares this same story of incredible success in becoming a household name, and he recently paid a visit to Brentford to reveal the magic of the Premier League.

“The Premier League is the best League in the world without a shadow of a doubt!” a delighted Marawa said.

“The world sits up to observe it religiously with the fans having made it a weekly religion! The passion from the grandstands is unreal and despite underwhelming results, the Brentford fans never disrespected the coach, players or technical team at all.

“The trip was an amazing experience given all that I’d heard about the club and stadium. Walking from the hotel, through the park and onto the main terraces were just vibrant moments of how football and small-town support should be.

The 17 250-capacity Gtech Community Stadium was unveiled in 2020 as a symbol to regenerate the surrounding area and community.

“I was immediately bowled over by the design and layout of the stadium itself from the inside,” Marawa added.

“I love intimate stadia. We are all made to feel every coaching instruction, tackle and emotion.

“My expectations were surpassed by the sheer hospitality of my hosts, Brentford. You are basically royalty if Hollywoodbets is your home.
The CEO immediately recognised me and came over to share pleasantries, despite attending to many other guests.”

Although inheriting The Bees nickname by chance – the winged insects symbolise hard work, dedication, teamwork, generosity and loyalty, which are values shared by both Brentford and Hollywoodbets.

“I was just honoured to have been given this rare opportunity to experience it first-hand,” Marawa said.

“It basically reiterates my solidly-held opinion that being part of the Purple Family is one of the best decisions I’ve taken on my broadcasting journey.

“The humility, grace and passion coupled with a solid work ethic are what I’ve always admired about Owen [Heffer] and how he then encourages everyone else to shine while humbly occupying a backseat with absolutely zero publicity. Very rare but very admirable.

“I see similar traits in the Brentford FC CEO Jon Varney as well. All of these are what make Hollywoodbets, Brentford and myself bonded as effortlessly as is the case now.

“Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A WORLD CLASS EXPERIENCE!!!”
