The Title Race
Liverpool are runaway leaders having collected a massive 82 points in 29 games. The Reds need six points in the remaining nine games to seal their first league title glory in 30 years!
Jürgen Klopp’s men are currently 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City who have played a game less. The Citizens and third-placed Leicester City look on course to finish in the top four unless something untoward happens.
The Race for Europe
The fourth spot is still up for grabs with only three points separating fourth-placed Chelsea and Manchester United who lie fifth. Sheffield United who’re enjoying an incredible debut season and Wolves aren’t too far of as occupy sixth and seventh places respectively.
The teams are also keeping a close eye on the fifth spot as Man City have been suspended from the UEFA Champions League for the next two years which might see them missing out from the competition from next year. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could be the dark horses in the run in as they both have a chance to finish in the European qualification spots.
The Relegation Scrap
Down at the bottom, Norwich City are six points off safety and they’re still in with a chance as there’s still a long way to go. Aston Villa, who have a game in hand, are second from the bottom with 25 points but one gameweek could change all that as the three teams above them namely Bournemouth, Watford and West Ham are all tied on 27 points which makes it for a thrilling finish to the season.
