This setback comes amid an already stellar season for Los Blancos, who have secured the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup.

The 24-year-old French international has been a crucial part of Real Madrid’s midfield, pivotal in their journey to the final.

Unfortunately, Tchouameni sustained a foot injury during the thrilling 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the semi-final second leg earlier this month.

According to a report by MARCA, initial optimism about his recovery has now given way to the harsh reality that he will not be fit in time for the showdown against Dortmund.

Tchouameni’s absence is a significant blow to Real Madrid, as his presence and performance have been instrumental throughout the tournament. He featured in five of the six knockout stage matches, showcasing his importance to Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical setup.

In Tchouameni’s stead, fellow Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga is expected to step up.

The 21-year-old has already demonstrated his capability in the defensive midfield role, notably during the quarter-final second leg against Manchester City, where he filled in seamlessly for Tchouameni, who was suspended.

Camavinga will likely be joined in midfield by veterans Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde, with the young and talented Jude Bellingham positioned further up the pitch to add creative spark.

Adding to the optimism, key players Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao are also pushing for starting spots.

Both have recently returned from injury layoffs and their inclusion could bolster Real Madrid’s defensive resilience against a formidable Dortmund side.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti remains focused on the upcoming clash despite the injury setback.

As the team gears up for the final, they will conclude their domestic campaign against Real Betis this Saturday. This match will serve as both a farewell to the La Liga season and a preparatory step towards the Champions League final.

With Madrid chasing their 15th Champions League title and their second under Ancelotti since his return in 2021, the stage is set for a historic encounter.

Despite the absence of Tchouameni, Los Blancos are determined to secure yet another European triumph, adding to their illustrious legacy.
