Mohamad Salah opened the scoring for the home side at Anfield before Harvey Elliot scored the winner after Jonathan David equalised for Lille in a 2-1 win for the Reds.
The win sees Arne Slot’s side maintain their unbeaten run in the competition and advance to the last 16.

Barcelona clinched an incredible comeback with just 12 minutes to spare to secure a dramatic 5-4 away victory over Benfica in Lisbon.
Hansi Flick’s side were trailing 4-2 before late goals by Robert Lewandowski from the penalty spot, an Eric Garcia header and a Raphinha winner deep into stoppage time in the 96th minute sealed the win.
Atletico Madrid 2-1 Bayer Leverkusen
Striker Julian Alvarez scored a brace, including a dramatic 90th-minute winner as the home side defeated Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen by 2-1 at the Metropolitano Stadium.
