Percy Tau bagged his first assist for Brighton with a delicious pass to set up Danny Wellbeck for the Seagulls' opener against West Ham.
Coming on as a second-half substitute, Tau was instrumental as Brighton went on to record a 1-1 draw at home against high-flying West Ham.
The South African star was introduced in the 74th minute for Iranian forward Ali Jahanbakhsh. It took just 10 minutes for the former Sundowns man to leave his mark on the game as he slipped Wellbeck in with a delicious through ball. The English centre-forward made no mistake, calmly lifting the ball over Łukasz Fabianski to give the Seagulls the lead.

Unfortunately for Graham Potter’s men, West Ham would equalise through Said Benrahma in the 87th minute.
Still, Tau’s cameo against the Hammers on Saturday indicated that there is still far more to come from the Witbank-born star. Under the guidance of such a tactically astute manager, let’s hope that we see a few more flashes of brilliance this season!
