Writers’ Weekend Treble (9-10 June)

H9ollywoodbets' Blog Writers' Treble

Check out our writer’s weekend treble that equates to 5/1.

It’s the first official week with no top tier European football but there’s a plethora of sporting action to get us through these lean times. This weekend will see a whole host of Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifiers take place, including a clash between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria.

Anyway, let’s move onto this week’s treble which features the Springboks to clear the handicap, a win the French national football team and a win/draw for Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana.

Pick: France Win (World Cup Qualifier)

Sweden 17/4 | Draw 51/20 | France 7/10
Sweden will play host to France in a top of the log clash in Group A of the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers for Russia. The Swedes have been impressive thus far with three wins from five matches, their only defeat coming at the hands of this week’s opposition – France. Les Bleus are the only unbeaten team in the group with four wins and one draw from five games, scoring 10 goals and conceding just three times.

Sweden have proved their strength without the presence of the powerhouse Zlatan Ibrahimović, so this will by no means be a walk in the park for the French. With that being said, intermss of firepower, solidity and organisation, France just look too good not to come out on top. Back Les Bleus to maintain their undefeated streak, collecting three points while doing so.

Aaron’s Treble @ 3/1
Poland Win v Romania 5/10 (World Cup Qualifier)
France Win v Sweden 13/20 (World Cup Qualifier)
Slovakia Win v Lithuania 7/10 (World Cup Qualifier

Pick: South Africa (-10.5) 9/10 (June Test)

Darry Worthington - Hollywoodbets Sports Blog Writer

South Africa 3/10 | Draw 28/1 | France 9/4

The ‘Boks will be looking to vanquish the ghost of 2016 when they take on a rather understrength French side at Loftus. There are a lot of new faces in this Springbok side. And while I do take issue with some of the selections, I still think they’ve got enough about them to see off what is a weakened French side. Get on the hosts to clear the -6.5 cap!

Darry’s Treble @ 5/1

Crusaders v British and Irish Lions 7/10 (Lions Tour)England v Argentina 11/10 (June Test)
South Africa (-6.5) v France 9/10 (Super Rugby)

Writer: Jason Dewey
Pick: South Africa Double Chance (AFCON Qualifier)

Jason Dewey - Hollywoodbets Sports Blog Writer

Nigeria 15/20 | Draw 47/20 | South Africa 17/4

Stuart Baxter starts his second stint in charge of Bafana Bafana with a tough away assignment against Nigeria. The West African powerhouses currently sit 38th in the FIFA World Rankings – a full 27 places above Bafana. That said, the last three meetings between the sides have ended in draws, and with the South Africans keen to impress their new boss, I’ll definitely be having a strike on the South Africa Win/Draw market. You should too!

Jason’s Treble @ 4/1
South Africa Win v France 3/10 (June Test)
South Africa Double Chance v Nigeria 1/1 (World Cup Qualifier)
South Africa Win v India 1/1 (Super Rugby)
