Check out our writer’s weekend treble that equates to 16/1.
Our blog writers had another narrow miss last week with Bafana Bafana’s 2-1 victory over Senegal seeing the boys lose out on a 16/1 treble. We are firm believers in the law of averages here at Hollywoodbets Sports Blog, however, and we reckon a big day pay day in on the near horizon.
The first tip for the weekend comes from our English Football League scribe Jason, who is backing a red-hot Liverpool to get a win away to Southampton. Our second tip is courtesy of our rugby scribe Darry who is backing the Wallabies to make it three tour wins on the trot with a victory over the French. Our final tip comes courtesy of Serie A addict Aaron, who fancies Crontone to deliver against Torino.

Pick: Liverpool Win (English Premier League)
Southampton 47/20 | Draw 5/2 | Liverpool 11/10
Liverpool have been incredible under this season under Jurgen Klopp. The Reds currently sit top of the Premier League after 11 games, winning eight, drawing two and losing just once in a shock defeat to Burnley. They were irresistible just before the the international break as Coutinho, Firmino and Sadio Mane put in a masterclass to crush a hapless Watford side 6-1. Klopp’s men will come up against Southampton this weekend who haven’t had the best of seasons. Tenth in the standings with just three wins isn’t quite good enough for the Saints who have experienced a couple of years of success now.
The Reds will win this game, I have no doubt about that. I’d have backed them on the handicap too if you Coutinho and Adam Lallana were available for the clash. Both could still play although there are doubts following the international break. Take Liverpool on the straight win at 11/10.

Pick: Australia (International Rugby)
France 8/10 | Draw 22/1 | Australia 21/20
The Wallabies were initially priced up as favourites to win this one but a swathe of personal changes by coach, Michael Cheika, has seen the bookmakers revise their opening prices with the French now favourites for the win. I think we have been handed an early Christmas present here, though. Chieka’s changes may actually strengthen the side rather than handicap it. The rested Australian veterans have seemed somewhat jaded this term, with the rigours of Super Rugby taking a toll on the old hands. I reckon the likes of young gun Kyle Godwin will breathe a bit of life into this Aussies side and see them to a narrow victory in Paris.

Pick: Atlanta (Serie A)
Crontone 36/10 | Draw 11/4 | Atalanta 15/20
Bottom-of-the-log Crotone must dig their way out of the hole they currently find themselves in. The newcomers claimed their first win of the season only at the end of October and will desperately be eager to pick up a second victory here.
Torino were impressive last time out, claiming a 5-1 home win over Cagliari. Nonetheless, it’s their away form that brings them down. They have managed just one win from six travels and will most likely find the going tough at Crotone as well. The home team are unbeaten in the last six meetings on their ground against Torino. I’m backing an upset here, with Crotone tipped to grind out a narrow victory at 36/10.

For The Brave
We have gone for a price boost for our ‘for the brave’ segment this week. Arsenal travel to Old Trafford this Saturday to take on a team managed by the world’s highest paid bus conductor, Jose Mourinho. The Special One is likely to stay true to form and go with a defensive set up for the Gunners’ visit. And with Arsenal missing some pace down the right flank with Hector Bellerin out injured, Wenger’s men may struggle to break down a rigid United set up. At 11/1, the 0-0 draw could prove an extremely shrewd bet. Adding this leg to your multiple will see the odds jump to an amazing 207/1!
