Sloane Stephens has been crowned the 2017 US Open Women’s champion, after beating Madison Keys 6-3, 6-0 in the final at Flushing Meadows.

Sloane Stephens, who recently spent 11 months out the game with an injury, and was ranked 957th six weeks ago, has won the Women’s US Open.

She defeated Madison Keys in the final in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-0.

The men’s final takes place on Sunday 10th September between Rafael Nadal, and South Africa’s Kevin Anderson.
