PURPLE POWAHOUSE finished 2.6 lengths behind STEVIE GEE last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Three of his four career victories have come over this C&D. The 7yo gelding may be rewarded for consistency.

STEVIE GEE stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time. He drops back in class and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should pose a threat.

MASTERBLING ran a fair race over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He drops in class and should be at peak fitness. From his good draw of three, he can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 3

WAR EMPRESS finished 0.5 lengths behind RAPID FIRE last time. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She finished 2.05 lengths behind KENNEDY in her penultimate run. She is 3kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around. Tristan Godden is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

KENNEDY showed good guts when winning her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She finished 0.6 lengths behind LE PREMIERE in her penultimate run. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.

RAPID FIRE found one too good in the form of Hot Pearl last time. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she should be involved at the finish.

FASHION MISTRESS returns from a 28-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won once and finished second twice from five starts on this course. The daughter of Master Of My Fate takes a drop-in class and if not in need of the run, she can win a race of this nature.

FLYING THE STAR finished 0.2 lengths behind PANTEA last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, she can feature.

PANTEA showed good signs of a form return last time. It must be noted that Hereinafter has come out and won again since. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if confirming her recent improvement, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

GRIFFIN PARK is much better than his last two starts suggest. He has taken on stronger company in both those efforts. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. He takes a drop in class and will be hard to peg back.

CHARA SANDS won a good race in his last start over this C&D. Three of his five career victories have come over this C&D. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

TRAFALGAR SQUARE stayed on when sixth in the Dash last time. Three of his seven career victories have come over this C&D. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and on best form shown, he should fight out the finish.

MYSTERIOUS GIRL won a good race in her last start over 1900m on the turf track. She raced from a handy position and kept finding all the way to the line. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

TRUE LOVE’S KISS finished 0.95 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

LINGANOMORE won a game race in her last start over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. If taking to the polytrack surface, she can follow up with another victory.

Race 7

SILENT TRIGGER was running on when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this distance. The 5yo gelding has dropped to a competitive mark and from pole position, he should be the one to beat in this field.

WOODLAND GLADE hails from the visiting Mike de Kock stable. She showed signs of a form return in her last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. She won her only attempt on this course and will strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

IMAGINABLE was running on when third over 1400m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be involved at the finish.

She finished 4.2 lengths behind MISS LIALAH, four runs ago. She is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Cole Dicken knows her well and she can return to winning ways.
