French President ready to ask Mbappe to remain at PSG AGAIN

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has reportedly revealed he is ready to try to convince Kylian Mbappe to extend his contract in Paris. This comes amid reports that Mbappe is on the radar of Manchester United and Real Madrid. Los Blancos, PSG, and the 24-year-old were involved in a soap opera-like transfer saga last year, with Macron stepping in to help convince him to stay. It remains to be seen whether his charm will have a similar effect this year.

Arsenal in the lead for Havertz’s signature

According to different media reports in the U.K. and Europe, talks between Arsenal and Chelsea are proceeding well regarding the transfer of Kai Havertz. The 24-year-old German professional is also a target of Real Madrid, who are in the market for a striker after losing Karim Benzema to the Saudi League. While Arsenal is not in dire need of a striker, it’s being reported Mikel Arteta is a big fan of his and plans to develop him further.

Chelsea reject Man United’s initial approach for Mount

The SportsMail has reported Chelsea has rejected Manchester United’s initial offer for England star midfielder Mason Mount. Chelsea are reportedly holding out for £70m, but United are determined to get him for around £55m. The London club would like to keep Mount, however tough competition in a now bloated squad means he’s now part of a list of players who could be transferred for bookkeeping reasons.

While Man United leads the race to sign him, many have questioned the move, with United not lacking in the creative midfield area.

Hammers reject Arsenal’s first bid for Declan Rice

Arsenal’s club record bid for West Ham captain Declan Rice has been promptly rejected by the Hammers. The proposed fee, reportedly around 80 million Euros plus add-ons, falls short of the valuation set by the London club for their star-man. Although personal terms seem to be almost finalized, with the midfielder enticed by the Arsenal project and the opportunity to remain in London, the Gunners must act swiftly in light of the rumours that Manchester City are also interested in the highly sought-after midfield maestro.
