Playing against the Dealer
It’s important to note that you will be playing against a dealer instead of other players all of the online poker offerings available at Hollywoodbets. This means that there can be 100s of players all occupying one spot at the table, all receiving the same hand and playing against the dealer.
Payouts, for the most part, are determined at fixed odds. In addition to this, players can benefit from a number of side bets. For example, in Evolution’s Three-Card Poker game, you can take a bet on something called the “Pairs Plus Bet”. This bet will payout at fixed odds depending on the hand you’re dealt, regardless of whether the dealer beats you or not. You can win a payout of 1/1 with a Pair right the way up to a 100/1 payout for a Mini Royal (AKQ suited).
Hollywoodbets offers a number of poker variants across several different providers. These include variations of Texas Hold’em as well as some fun poker variations such as Side Bet City from Evolution, Bet On Teen Patti by Ezugi and 6+ Poker by Betgames Africa.

Poker Hand Rankings
The most important thing any new poker player needs to know is how each hand ranks in the game. A hand refers to the 5 cards (or 3 cards in some cases) held by a given player. Here we’ll help you differentiate between a Royal Flush and a Straight Flush; a Four of a Kind and a Full House and more!
Keep in mind that below we’ll start by mentioning the highest-ranking poker hand (Royal Flush) right the way down to the lowest-ranking hand (High Card).
The Royal Flush is the best hand you can be dealt in poker. This hand features five cards in consecutive order and of the same suit in order of value from 10 to ace.
Similar to a Royal Flush, this hand contains five cards of consecutive values of the same suit that isn’t a Royal Flush is considered a Straight Flush. This hand can only be beaten in two ways: by a Royal Flush or another Straight Flush that includes higher-ranking cards.
Four of a Kind
As the name implies, a Four of a Kind hand sees the same card in each of the four different suits.
Simply put, this hand contains a Three of a Kind (three cards of the same rank in three different suits) and a Pair (two cards of the same rank in different suits). In the event that more than Full House is present on the table, the player with the higher value Three of a Kind will be the winner.
This hand contains five cards of the same suit in any order. When two players have flushes, the hand featuring the highest value hand will be declared the winner.
A straight is made up of five cards in consecutive numerical order of more than one suit. If there is an Ace in the hand, it can rank as either high (above a King) or low (below a 2). These two types of straights have nicknames. A Wheel straight runs A, 2, 3, 4, 5 while a Broadway straight (the strongest of all straight hands, runs 10, J, Q, K, A.
Three of a Kind
This hand contains three cards of the same rank across three different suits.
This hand contains two different sets of two cards of equal rank.
This is a hand that is made up of a pair of cards of the same rank in different suits.
This is the worst hand you can be dealt in poker. The highest card in your hand will be considered your “High Card”.
