ELUSIVE MIST has an obvious affinity for this surface and she bounced back to form with a pleasing last c & d effort. She was outrun late into 2nd that day and though she finished just a head in front of MAHE BEAT on that occasion, the daughter of Elusive Fort could still hold the formline.

MAMBO TANGO has decent credentials and he could prove tough to beat if adopting frontrunning tactics in this ordinary field. The Greeff inmate is limited and probably prefers slightly shorter to be most effective but he could have things all his own way out in front. It is certainly worth noting that most of his remaining rivals prefer a solid gallop.
