Manchester City outclassed Swansea City, winning 4-0 last night (13 Dec) in a midweek English Premier League clash and broke Arsenal's 2002 record of 14 consecutive league wins. Guardiola's magic sees him with the most consecutive wins in three different leagues as a manager  - English Premier League (15) Spanish La Liga (16) and Bundesliga (19).

Pep is well known for his attacking style of football where he incorporates tons of passes in the phases of attack. This has brought him countless successes both at Barcelona and at Bayern Munich - the same style is now paying off in English Football at Manchester City, as his team is 11 points clear before Christmas having scored a monumental 52 goals.

Nine different players have found the back of the net in the league this season for the Citizens, with Delph and Bernado Silva the only players to have scored a single goal. Sergio Aguero (10), Raheem Sterling (9), Gabriel Jesus (8) lead the scoring for City. But the magic lies in the midfield where Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva, and Leroy Sane share 22 assists among one other.

Manchester City will now look at matching the Arsenal Invincibles and record by going through an entire Premier League campaign without tasting defeat. They will shift their focus to their home clash against Spurs on 16 December.

One feels that their sternest test will be when they face three consecutive fixtures in February and early March against Leicester, Arsenal and Chelsea, although they may well be out of sight by then. With 21 games left in the English Premier League season let's see if the Citizens can match Arsenal's class of 2002.
