Out-of-favour Pirates midfielder targeted by Stellies

Orlando Pirates’ Goodman Mosele is reportedly on the wishlist of a few PSL clubs, including Stellenbosch, who are ready to move forward with the purchase of the player.

Mosele lost his place as a regular starter for Pirates last season with central midfielders like Miguel Timm, Makhehlene Makhaula, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, Ben Motshwari and Thabang Monare being preferred ahead of him.

City look to hold on to Sought-after Brice Ambina

The 21-year-old Cameroon Youth International has emerged as one of the PSL’s most promising talents.

However, Eric Tinkler wants to hold on to all of his best players and the 21-year-old is part of City’s plans next season, meaning that the Mother City-based outfit will try to pull all the stops to keep the Cameroonian.

Ambina has racked up 42 appearances for City since his arrival in February 2022 from Renaissance FC in Cameroon.

CEO Stan Matthews confirms SS United’s interest in Lebusa

Lebusa has struggled to secure a starting berth at Bafana Ba Style in the past two seasons. He only started nine of over 40 games that Sundowns played in all competitions in the just-ended campaign.

In total, he featured in 17 games, scoring one goal for the Tshwane giants during the Nedbank Cup Last 32 against Richards Bay FC.

Matthews admitted they would like to land the former Ajax Cape Town captain’s signature even though there’s no “indication” whether he’ll be made available in the market by Downs.

Mabena headed for exit door as Bucs announce four new signings

Orlando Pirates are reportedly set to offload striker Ndumiso Mabena six months after he returned to the club.

Out of favour and underperforming, Mabena’s ‘home-coming’ clearly didn’t go according to plan, after making just one appearance under Jose Riveiro.

The Buccaneers have since reportedly opted against triggering their option to extend Mabena’s contract at the club.

Meanwhile, the club took to social media to announce the arrival four new signings

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Sephelo Baloni (Cape Town All Stars), Katlego Otladisa (Marumo Gallants), Melusi Buthelezi (TS Galaxy) and Patrick Maswanganyi (SuperSport United)”, read the club statement.

Davids lands new club, links up with Zinnbauer

Former Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids has joined Raja Club Athletic to become Josef Zinnbauer’s assistant once more.

Davids joined the Moriccan outfit’s coaching staff less than a month after it was confirmed that Maritzburg would be relegated from the DSTV Premiership

At Raja, Davids links up with Zinnbauer for a third time after their stints together at Pirates and Locomotive Moscow
