The 26-year-old former Bidvest Wits, Vitoria Setubal and Swallows player has spent the past two seasons with Amakhosi.

He played 48 times in total, setting up two goals, but is now reportedly on his way to sign for Stellenbosch.

A Chiefs statement read: “Winger, Kgaogelo Sekgota has departed Kaizer Chiefs after spending two years with the Club.

“Sekgota arrived at Amakhosi from Swallows FC ahead of the 2021/22 season, and featured 48 times (14 starts + 34 subs) in the gold & black colours of the Glamour Boys.

“His new Club will make an announcement in due course after finalising all the paperwork pertaining to his registration.

“We thank KG for all his efforts and wish him well for the rest of his footballing career.”
