DAILY BEAUTY finished three lengths behind M M NEBULA last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in this opening contest.

VALHALLA switched out off heels and won with a ton in hand last time. Keagan de Melo has kept the ride and the combination can make it quick back-to-back wins. VAMOS finished 1.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

HUMBLE STAR was beaten the narrowest of margins by HARMONY N BLESSED last time. He is slightly better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HEROIC MASTER finished a length behind the top selection in the race mentioned above and could be one to fill the exacta spot.

DURHAM STAR produced an eye-catching comeback run when beaten half a length and the booking of Zac Purton to ride is a big plus. JUNE PLANET was rewarded for consistency last time. He received a fair penalty and should be up to the task at hand. The grey LEGION OF MERIT is better than his recent form suggests. He has placed in a Group 2 and is capable of finding a form return.

BEAUTY GLORY and ALLGREEKTOME finished alongside each other last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and are both strong contenders. LUCKY ARCHANGEL won his last start narrowly over this C&D. He is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard and could be one to cause an upset.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

DENFIELD is the highest rated horse in the field and merits respect despite coming in at the top of the weights. He likes this course and should be one of the leading contenders. SPEEDSTAR was beaten a couple of lengths by subsequent winner Blue Marlin and can make his presence felt in this line-up.

WATCH BUDDY won his last start over this C&D and is a horse that is still on the upgrade. JOY COMING is after a hat-trick of wins and the only concern is the wide draw. MELBOURNE HALL is nicely handicapped in this field and should give a good account of himself from pole.

SILVER SONIC hails from the in-form Lui stable. He runs well for Harry Bentley and will take a power of beating if suited to this course. MALDIVES showed signs of needing his comeback run when beaten 2.5 lengths by Rising From Ashes. He will strip much fitter and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
