Race 6

ALL TOO SNEAKY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She won over 1100M three runs back and has finished third in her last two runs, the latest over 1300M, 0.7L behind the winner. She jumped awkwardly that day, but struck the front at the 200M mark, only to be run out of it late and the form of that race has been franked. She gets gate five and will have 1.5kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice.

AMMAHELL is seldom far off the action, finishing fourth last time out over 1300M, just over one and a half lengths back from the winner. He was making good late progress that day and although drawn wide in gate thirteen, on the plus side, he will have 1.5kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

CHOOKSTER has consistent formlines to his name and jumped awkwardly before staying on well from just off the pace to end up in second spot last time out over a mile, two lengths back from the winner. The gelding will have to deal with a wide draw eleven, but he should nevertheless be included in all bets.

Race 7

RYLAN’S PICK goes for his hat-trick after two victories over 1100M the latest by just over a length and a half length, this despite hanging in all the way down the home straight. He has a handy draw four and is made the best bet on the day’s card.

VERY SHARP on the other hand missed out on her hat-trick after wins over five furlongs and 1100M when finishing fourth last time out over 1100M, seven lengths adrift of the winner, but she was slow away on that occasion and that was at a stronger center. She is a 6yr old mare taking on males and has a wide draw ten, but on the plus side, she will have 2kgs taken off her back for the services of a claiming apprentice.

RAJNISH battled all the way down to the wire when finishing second in his latest outing over six furlongs, 1,7L off the winner. The gelding has his peak run for his new trainer and returning from an eleven week rest and whilst drawn the widest of them all in gate thirteen, he will have a slightly less 1,5kgs taken off his back for his claiming apprentice and he should be doing his best work late.

Race 8

STROMBUS has cracked pole position and has consistent formlines to his name, following up his penultimate run victory over seven furlongs with a seventh place finish next time out over the same trip, just over two and a half lengths back from the winner, notwithstanding being bumped shortly after the start and having to be held up between the 400M and 200M mark.

HOLLYWOOD HERO has consistent formlines to his credit and stayed on well when ending up in third spot last time out over nine furlongs, just over a length behind the winner. He on the other hand, will have to overcome a wide gate twelve, but he is likely to be dropped out of it in the early stages and then start to pick off the front runners over the latter part of the race and is another who will have 1,5ggs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

PHILIPSBURG has finished closer to the winner in each of his last three starts, the latest when second over nine furlongs, just a head behind the winner. He came four wide into the home straight in that event and from his cozy draw four, he will be hoping to one better today.

Race 9

The day’s value bet, SMART AND DAPPER missed out on his hat-trick after wins over 1100M and five furlongs when finishing fourth last time out over 1100M, just under five lengths adrift of the victor, when returning from a lengthy 40 week spell. He jumped awkwardly in that event and then raced four wide without cover before finishing well over the closing stages of the race. The gelding jumps from draw seven and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways here.

BARE TO WITNESS has won two of his last three runs and finished second in the other, the latest victory coming over five furlongs by just over a half length. He came the widest of them all into the home stretch on that occasion, but produced a powerful finish from some way back to be denied victory. The gelding faces a wide gate eleven, but will have 1.5kg removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

XEIBY is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she showed marked improvement to win her last start over 1100M by putting four lengths between herself and the opposition. She showed plenty of toe that day and from a wide draw fifteen, she should use that early gate speed to move across without expending too much gas.
