MULTIMORE finished 2.5 lengths behind TRONIC MIGHTY last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. THETA HEDGE has decent form lines to his credit. He finished third behind Viva A La who has come out and won another race since. TRONIC MIGHTY won in good fashion last time and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride.
13:40 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1650m

MEDIC ELITE ran on powerfully to defeat EAGLE RUN last time out. The manner which he drew off in the closing stages suggests that he can make it quick back-to-back wins. HAPPY JAI JAI was beaten a couple of lengths in his comeback run. All three of his wins have come on this course. If bringing his A-game, he should make his presence felt in this type of field.
14:10 – Race 3 | Class 3 | 1650m

CAPITAL LEGEND finished runner-up behind Rising From Ashes over this C&D last time. Vincent Ho takes the ride and the combination merit healthy respect. STAR CONTACT finished 0.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on identical terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.
14:45 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

WOOD ON FIRE produced an eye-catching comeback run. He is a C&D specialist and should find a nice position from barrier 4. KOKUSHI MUSOA has placed in his last two outings on this course. He comes in at the top of the weights and can give another good account of himself. OVERSUBSCRIBED has fair form lines to his credit. He shoulders a handy galloping weight and it will be no surprise to see him finish in the money.
15:15 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1000m

The Whyte trained KING ECCELLENTE placed in his last two starts before the break. He has cracked a neat draw and should be one of the leading contenders. CIRCUIT SEVEN finished a couple of lengths behind KOWLOON EAST STAR last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to reverse the result.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m
Selections: 11/8/4
SUPER EAGLE finished 1.9 lengths behind AWESOME TREASURE in his last start. He is slightly better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. COLONEL had plenty followers when beaten just under a length by Savvy Chic. He is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard and can go close if overcoming the wide draw.
16:15 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1650m

DRAGON STAR is likely to dictate terms from a neat draw and he may be difficult to peg back at the wire. PRINCE ALEX finished just in-front of the top selection last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and the only concern is the wide barrier. LEAN HERO is nicely handicapped and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
16:50 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1200m
Selections: 7/5/3
SUGAR SUGAR was beaten the narrowest of margins over this C&D last time. He will strip a much fitter horse and the booking of Hugh Bowman to ride is a big plus. LIGHTNING BOLT seemed to relish racing at Happy Valley for the first time in his recent victory. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and must be strongly considered in the lucky last!
