LINGFIELD PARK

Race 4 No7 TERAABB (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie’s Fellowes – Jockey: Harry Davies

Placo may be favoured in the betting but TERAABB is a value option if close to his paper price of 3-1. The son of Derby winner Musar put in a stormer when going down in a close photo to Edge Of Blue at Yarmouth and that Godolphin-owned winner boosted the form by following-up at Doncaster on Saturday.

Race 2 No1 ACCUMULATE
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

A colt with Coolmore connections, ACCUMULATE buckled down well to open his account at Newmarket after being narrowly denied on debut at Ascot. He faces strong competition from fellow Newmarket raider Majed, but should enjoy the switch to sand and follow-up under a 7lb penalty.

FAKENHAM

Race 1 No5 ROGER POL (Nap)
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

ROGER POL’s greater experience can prove a factor in success over promising bumper winner Call The Dance in this novices’ hurdle. The Nap attracted notable support in that defeat by Afta Party, and is out to make amends for an in-form trainer/jockey combo. He’s a dual bumper winner, and brings greater experience to the table.

Race 5 No5 AVILES
Trainer: Gary Moore – Jockey: Jamie Moore

With figures of 2222 last season it’s not difficult to question AVILE’s relish for a battle. In fact he did little wrong, and with a summer at grass on his back can return to make it a winning debut over fences for the Moores.

NOTTINGHAM

Race 2 No1 HANSARD (Nap)
Trainer: Gary Moore – Jockey: Tom Queally

HANSARD is an interesting runner reverting to the Flat from hurdles, and can give short shrift to his foes. After joining his trainer from Ireland he was an impressive winner at Huntingdon and Plumpton, while he then ran well to trouble the judge in a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Aintree. He has a big engine, and this should tee him up nicely for a return to jumping.

Race 3 No1 ALDAARY
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Cieren Fallon

ALDAARY is a classy individual who is the logical choice for this Listed feature. The five-year-old was turned over as an odds-on chance on his latest start at the same level at Newbury, but earlier placed in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes as well as a Group 2 at Ascot. He deserves to make this a belated first success of the season.

Race 5 No9 HIROMICHI (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Hector Crouch

HIROMICHI has grown into a powerful specimen and has to be of interest, as he will go in the ground and has his tail up following a success at Hamilton in which he did not go unbacked. Crouch is an interesting booking for the grey, who switches here after missing out on his iniended race last week.

Race 6 a No1 SERA DAWN ( Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

SERA DAWN travelled well when ridden cold at Windsor but possibly was given too much to do. She stayed on into the money, but might be ridden more prominently this time. The cut in the ground will hold no perils for her.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 3 No1 SPINTO SOPRANO (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rob Hornby

The way SPINTO SOPRANO suddenly picked up to get the job done on debut at Southwell formed a lasting impression. The form was given a hefty boost when Secret World scored at Wolverhampton, and this clearly talented daughter of Invincible Spirit can remain unbeaten.

Race 4 No9 TOPANGA
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

While it could pay to watch out for a springer in the market from one of the newcomers, TOPANGA is a more likely solution here. She shaped with a deal of promise to finish second on debut over today’s course and distance, and if making normal progress should prove hard to beat.

Race 6 No2 WILLEM TWEE (Each Way)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

WILLEM TWEE probably needed his belated comeback run at Ascot, and now back on Polytrack is certainly not a horse to dismiss out of hand. At the peak of his 2022 campaign he looked set for higher honours, and from a plum draw it wouldn’t be a surprise if he were to bounce back.
