Recent reporting suggested Truter’s departure was imminent after both he and goalkeeper coach Johannes Abselom were absent from the club’s past two fixtures.

The 12th-placed DStv Premiership side confirmed the news in a statement released by the club.

Macdonald Makhubedu has since been appointed as interim head coach.

The club statement read: “The club would like to confirm that it has parted ways with Head Coach Brandon Truter.

“Given the highly competitive environment that the Premier Soccer League has become, coupled with the fact that getting positive results has become a major safeguard, the Club has decided that the recent results have not reinforced this notion and thus the need to part ways with Coach ‘Brakkies’.

“The Club would also like to confirm that it has released Goalkeeper Coach Hannes Absalom.
The duo left with immediate effect and the Club wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and hard work during their time with ‘Babina Noko’.

“Assistant Coach Macdonald Makhubedu assumed the role of Head Coach on an interim basis as the club prepares for an interesting assignment, away against RS Berkane in the Group Stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

“This match will be held at the Stade Municipal de Bon in Berkane, Morocco on Sunday, 26th November at 21:00 SAST.”
