ENCHANTED SKY ran a good race when second in her last start over 1200m on this course. She raced from just off the pace, moved up well but was caught late by Just Forever. She meets the right field this afternoon and from her good draw of two, she can go one better.
Race 3: FIRE GLOW (4)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: G Smith
FIRE GLOW’S last three starts have been decent. She set the pace over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Muzi Yeni is likely to use her early gate speed to get across from the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.

Jockey: R Khathi – Trainer: J Strydom
GALLIC TRIBE is the best bet on the programme. He moved up like a winner in the Listed Jonsson Workwear Algoa Cup last time, but was outrun late. He won a good race in his penultimate start over this C&D. The 6yo gelding is holding his form well and he can notch up his sixth career victory.
Race 8: TRIED AND TRUE (5)
Jockey: J Jacobs – Trainer: L Gila
TRIED AND TRUE is one of the better bets on the programme. She has fair recent form lines against stronger company. She has dropped in the ratings and takes a drop-in class. She jumps from a mid-field draw of six and in this field, she can return to winning ways.

Race 4: KUZNETSOV (9)
Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: D McKenzie
KUZNETSOV showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1400m on this course. He raced from a handy position and stayed on well at the finish. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He should have finished closer to the winner in his penultimate run as he was held up between the 500m mark and 300m mark. He has cracked a good draw of two and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
