The undefeated Brazilians have now clinched a record seventh consecutive title to extend their dominance of South African football.

Speaking after the final whistle, a delighted Mokwena was quick to remind the public of his accomplishments as a 37-year-old head coach.

“Now I’ve got four league titles as a head coach and no one says anything about it,” Mokwena said post-match.

“Only Gavin Hunt has more, and every day it still feels like I have zero titles.

“This is football, and I’m so proud of this group, so let’s focus on the positives. I’m proud of the technical team, it’s a collective effort and I am just the one who stands in front and I have to lead, but it’s incredible and I am very proud of this group.”

Predecessor Pitso Mosimane leads the charts as the most decorated head coach with five league titles. Followed by Hunt with four titles.
