Matches between Galaxy and Sundowns, particularly last season, gave birth to a feud and rivalry between the two teams and the coaches.

Ramovic’s right-hand men, Beganovic Adnan and Kodro Mustafa – who are armed with the UEFA Pro License – are expected to play back-up vocals at Raja while the German conducts the Green Eagles.

Former Moroka Swallows goalie and Galaxy goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia will also be part of Ramovic’s bench at Raja.

According to a report by SABC Sport, Sukazi confirmed that the 45-year-old is headed to Raja to replace former Orlando Pirates mentor Jozef Zinnbauer, who is rumoured to be heading to the Gulf region.

Zinnbauer walks away from Raja after leading the Moroccan giants to a 13th Botola Pro 1 title, fending off close competition from FAR Rabat.

“It’s a done deal. Ramovic is expected to fly out after the friendly with Yanga FC and he will take with him the two assistant coaches, Beganovic Adnan and Kodro Mustafa, as well as goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia,” said Sukazi.

Before jetting off to Morocco, Zinnbauer will oversee Galaxy’s engagement in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday against Tanzanian outfit Young Africans.
