BRIGHTON

Race 5 No1 OH SO AUDACIOUS (Nap)
Trainer: Harry Eustace – Jockey: Kaiya Fraser

This is the trickiest of the three domestic meetings for betting but OH SO AUDACIOUS is a standing dish here and can repeat her 2023 triumph in the corresponding race. The mare won under 9st 7lb then, and carried 8st 9lb to a more recent triumph at the seaside track in early June. Fraser has been in her saddle for a couple of subsequent near misses and the combination are strongly fancied to go one better.

Race 6 No2 BATCHELOR BOY
Trainer: John Gallagher – Jockey: Darragh Keenan

BATCHELOR BOY was a winner here last autumn while picking up a couple of cheques on his more recent visits. His trainer is amongst the winners, and there must be a chance that this race will become easier if Alfred Cove, who ran here on Sunday, becomes a late defector.

CHEPSTOW

Race 2 No1 BOBBY JONES
Trainer: Nigel Tinkler – Jockey: Alex Jary

Long-distance traveller BOBBY JONES brings an experience card to the table in a nursery that might not take much winning. He importantly put in a career-best when third in a better race at Beverley, and on a first venture away from the North isn’t coming just for the goodness of his health.

Race 3 No4 BRIGHTWALTON
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Pat Dobbs

BRIGHTWALTON finds herself contesting a race that has cut up in her favour. The Wootton Bassett filly failed by just a neck to break her maiden at Sandown and looked to appreciate dropping back to the minimum trip, over which distance she competes here.

Race 7 No6 AJRAD (Nap)
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

AJRAD looks to have benefitted from a move to the Millman yard from which he’s earned in all three starts this summer. His best effort happened at this course on his latest start, and with Saffie Osborne in his irons for the first time, there should be more progression to come.

WINDSOR

Race 1 No11 MISS NIGHTFALL
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

MISS NIGHTFALL was backed to open her account on Polytrack last time when she was gaining on the horse that beat her at the finish. Back up to 1200 metres and returned to turf she can take care of business.

Race 2 No5 THURSDAY
Trainer: Simon Dow – Jockey: Neil Callan

A return to the bottom rung of the handicap ladder should see THURSDAY back to winning form. The Monsieur Bond filly won at this level two runs back before claiming a cheque in an Epsom Class4. Successful at this venue back in June, she looks to have the cards in her favour.

Race 4 No7 SHRIMP SHADY (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

SHRIMP SHADY attracted plenty of interest in the market before his narrow defeat on debut at Kempton last month. The Mastercraftsman colt has been afforded a good slot in the gate and can go one better as he stretches out to a mile on a switch to grass.

Race 7 No10 MILVUS
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: George Bass

Narrowly denied when third in a blanket finish over course and distance last month, MILVUS shaped like a horse that’s getting ready to win. With identical conditions prevailing he can with a belated first career success underline his liking for this track.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 2-8)

5, 10, 4 x 6, 10, 3 x 7 x 6, 7 x 1, 2 x 10, 4, 7 x 1
