SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No6 KEEP SINGING (Each Way)
Trainer: Stan Moore – Jockey: Kieran O’Neill

KEEP SINGING dead-heated before losing the race in the Stewards’ room at Wolverhampton and lost all chance when pushing back when the stalls opened on her next start under a 6lb penalty at Bath. Considering how much ground she lost, the daughter of Kameko did well to obtain a midfield finishing position, while from a good draw today she just needs to be alert at the start.

Race 5 No4 JUDGEMENTOFSOLOMON (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

JUDGEMENTOFSOLOMON faces a tough opponent in Environment Friend who is going to benefit from a step up to two miles, but the selection was an authoritative scorer at Pontefract to make it a fifth earning effort in as many starts this season, while with the cheekpieces he wore for the first time that day retained he can follow-up.

EPSOM DOWNS

Race 1 No1 WHITE CHAPEL ROAD
Trainer: Paul Cole – Jockey: S D Bowen

Although out of his depth in the Convivial Maiden at York, WHITE CHAPEL ROAD bounced back to open his account at Brighton, where he came home unchallenged. The Land Force colt looks to have been found very straightforward in this nursery, and can follow up.

Race 3 No7 LASTING LOVE
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

This is an open novice, but with cut in the ground forecast Lope De Vega filly LASTING LOVE stands up to close inspection. She put in a career-best when chasing home a useful sort at Goodwood. She retains the hood she wore that day, and should also enjoy a good trip breaking from the rail.

Race 4 No8 THURSDAY
Trainer: Simon Dow – Jockey: Christian Howarth

THURSDAY is trained yards from the course and is more familiar than most in this field with its idiosyncrasies. She was beaten inches on his latest visit two weeks ago whilst finishing in the money in a Class4 in August. She rarely fails to trouble the judge, and should again finish in the shake-up.

Race 6 No3 ARKHALIA FLYNN (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

From a mark just 1lb higher than he was beaten into second at Haydock earlier in the month, ARKHALIA FLYNN has to be feared. He’s built up a very good rapport with his apprentice pilot, who might have been unfortunate in having to let his mount go a few strides earlier than ideal on that latest start. The Nap is having a first run at this switchback course but has the balance and brawn to handle the undulations, while once in the straight he can take care of business.
