The son of Hat Puntano may be at his best over this type of distance at this stage of his career. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and in this field, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

BETULA‘S last two starts after returning from a 23-week break have been good. She stayed on when third over 1450m on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will enjoy the rise to the mile. She will be at peak fitness and can notch up her third- career victory.

RISKY BUSINESS is a winner of her last four starts. She raced from a prominent position over 1400m last time, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. She received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Querari is in a good space and she can follow up with another win.

He is 6kgs better off at the weights today which is enough to turn the form around. The son of Oratorio is unbeaten from two starts on this course and will be looking to keep that record intact.
