New Zeland has been comfortably the best side in the entire bilateral series to date, with their opponents failing to settle into any sort of rhythm.
Every batsman seems to have made some sort of contribution to the cause, but New Zealand will now be looking to execute their plans as clinically as possible to keep themselves on course to do well at the T20 World Cup.
New Zealand didn’t need to use all of their potential bowlers in a rain-hit second T20I but should have plenty of options in the final match.
A series whitewash will help New Zealand edge closer to fourth-ranked Pakistan on the ICC T20I team rankings while the likes of Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips could storm up the player rankings.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh just hasn’t come to grips with New Zealand’s conditions, and their streak of losses in the country continues with seemingly no end in sight.
Mohammad Naim has been the most promising prospect Bangladesh’s side but could use a little more support from the senior players around him.
Bangladesh put in another disappointing shift with the ball in the second T20I and will find themselves up against it at Eden Park, which is very unforgiven towards a wayward bowler.
Mehedi Hasan has all the potential to be a world-class allrounder but occasionally lets himself down with his execution under pressure. Bangladesh need to get more out of their star performers.

Even in a dead rubber New Zealand will hold the edge.
