Saturday 5 March

8/10 Leicester | Draw 29/10 | Leeds 3/1 (14:30)

Marcelo Bielsa being dismissed by Leeds is not entirely unexpected – I mean the only thing unexpected was the ‘mutual consent’ reasoning offered up by the club, which we all know means fired with respect.

Leicester will come into the fixture with a completely fit squad. I think they’ll have too much for Leeds though who will still be without both Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips.

Get on the home win.

6/1 Burnley | Draw 33/10 | Chelsea 9/20 (17:00)

This could prove to be a rather interesting encounter. Of course, Chelsea come into this game after a disappointing EFL Cup final at Wembley – so which Chelsea pitches up is left to still be seen.

Burnley have enjoyed a bit of a purple patch; I don’t think this game is as straightforward for the visitors as it might initially seem. I think Burnley on the Win/Draw Double Chance is worth a shrewd punt. Get on at 29/20.

27/20 Aston Villa | Draw 47/20 | Southampton 39/20 (17:00)

Southampton have proven to be a difficult team to beat. They have only lost once at home this season – although granted, the same isn’t seen on the road. Aston Villa had only won once in eight games in all competition before beating Brighton 2-0 at the weekend.

They do look like a side who just require the one win and before getting back on the horse, and I think they can win this. I’m not bullish, but ill back the home win.

19/10 Norwich | Draw 21/10 | Brentford 31/20 (17:00)

I think Norwich win this, and to be completely honest, I thought we could have gotten a better price! Norwich haven’t been much this season, but they certainly are brave and almost suicidal in their approach to football games.

The fixture against Liverpool still stands out for me in the way they went to Anfield and matched the hosts with front-foot football. Brentford aren’t the team they were (I know I’ve said this enough) they aren’t as zippy in possession and lack the robust essence required on defence in the Premier League.

Back the home win here.

33/20 Newcastle | Draw 43/20 | Brighton 7/4 (17:00)

Brighton is another side who are seemingly on the slide – they have picked up just six points from a possible twenty-one. A powerful Newcastle will now host them, and I think the hosts should be stronger favourites.

The narrative has been that Newcastle is attempting to buy safety, but such a point is largely disrespectful to the good work done by Eddie Howe. Newcastle is a classy team who are playing good football – why shouldn’t they win?

13/10 Wolves | Draw 21/10 | Crystal Palace 47/20 (17:00)

To borrow a horseracing adage, put a line through Wolves’ last defeat. They remain an incredibly tough team to beat and are playing secure football. Playing through the lines and linking play against them has proven an incredibly difficult task.

Palace won’t roll over, and I don’t think they are an easy side to get on top of. Wolves are comfortable to sit in and defend, Palace aren’t as dynamic on attack as would like at the minute and so a draw makes plenty of appeal.

2/7 Liverpool | Draw 48/10 | West Ham 8/1 (19:30)

David Moyes’ side needed that last win. They are still in contention for a European position and this surge toward the top four has evidently been kept alive. They can’t really afford to drop too many more points in the coming weeks – but some in London might see this as more of a free-hit sort of scenario.

Liverpool are consistent in their ruthless attacking ability and playing at Anfield again after delivering another domestic trophy to their fans will only aid their quest for all three points.

West Ham’s ability in front of goal should only be good enough to earn us a little extra at the betting markets. Back the home win and both to score at 7/4.

Sunday 6 March

5/1 Watford | Draw 3/1 | Arsenal 11/20 (16:00)

I’ll be completely honest; I’m not going to spend too much time on this fixture. Not for any other reason but for the fact that Arsenal should absolutely maul Watford. United ripped them apart, they just couldn’t score!

Arsenal will enjoy all the ball on Sunday, and I can’t see how Mikel Arteta’s men don’t absolutely thrash their hosts. Back the away win on the (-1) handicap at 29/20.

11/20 Tottenham | Draw 31/10 | Everton 44/10 (16:00)

If I am to be completely truthful…I cannot believe the price available on the away win! 44/10 about the Everton win is incredible. The Toffee’s have had most (if not all) of their problems rooted in their inability to keep teams out defensively.

Frank Lampard would have taken a lot of confidence from their display against City, and if I could be this brazen – if they are able to replicate that performance, I think they can get, something from this game.

Spurs are inconsistent, their greatest challenge now is to consolidate their demolition of Leeds with a subsequent win…and I’m not confident they can do that.

Back Everton on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 12/10.

QUAD @ 28/1
Leicester Win 8/10
Aston Villa Win 27/20
Liverpool + BTTS 7/4
Arsenal (-1) Handicap 29/20
