The treble this week looks a little tasty, so don’t forget to have a little dabble with the 6/1 on offer – but more importantly, enjoy all of the action.

Saturday 2 April

1/8 Liverpool | Draw 8/1 | Watford 18/1 (13:30)

Looking exclusively at the betting markets, this game is a bit of a non-entity…Liverpool should be too strong for this Watford side, but even with that being said – there could be money to be made here.

Liverpool have been exemplary in their defensive third, they haven’t conceded a goal in their last four league games, and I think they’ll keep another one here. The Red’s winning to nil is beautifully priced up at 8/10, have a go!

9/20 Brighton | Draw 32/10 | Norwich 6/1 (16:00)

I must be honest; I much prefer Brighton against the so-called ‘bigger’ teams. There is a visible lift in their performances, and from a betting perspective, they provide enough opportunity for profit-producing performances!

So, it goes without saying…against the likes of Norwich, I cannot be bullish. For me, the totals market should be the play here. these two clubs have been well beaten repeatedly of recent and neither seems to be able to keep out a goal (even if it’s just for the banter!). Over 2.5 Goals should be a banker – don’t get bogged down by trying to find a winner. Get on at 1/1.

11/1 Burnley | Draw 54/10 | Manchester City 2/9 (16:00)

At the risk of sounding completely uninspired and somewhat repetitive, Burnley have been a frustrating team to get behind this year. That gritty and negative approach to football usually employed at Turf Moor is no longer apparent and (in my opinion) they are paying the price for it.

City will come in and dominate the possession of the football, dictate the pace of the game and attack Burnley with unrelenting pressure. So, without unnecessarily complicating matters, back the visitors on the Half Time/Full Time double at 6/10.

7/20 Chelsea | Draw 39/10 | Brentford 8/1 (16:00)

Chelsea is proving repeatedly how powerful the essence of a team, with the ‘us against them’ mentality can be. Throughout the current tumultuous times being experienced at the Bridge, Thomas Tuchel has kept his club resolute in their quest for on-field success.

They haven’t always played well, but they have found a way to win. That’s what a Championship winning team does. Brentford always give it a go, and if they can find favour in the wide areas, I think they could ask a couple questions of their hosts. Nevertheless, Chelsea win – but for more value add both teams scoring at 26/10.

14/10 Leeds United | Draw 51/20 | Southampton 18/10 (16:00)

I think the price available on the Leeds win is just too good to pass up. These two sides are seemingly in opposite places coming into this game, Southampton have dipped poorly and are without a win from their last four games. Leeds, on the other hand, have begun to show improvement under their new manager and registered two wins for their last two!

I think the expansiveness with which Leeds have continued to play with a better defensive approach make them my pick here.

37/20 Wolves | Draw 21/10 | Aston Villa 31/20 (16:00)

This will be a tricky old game; Wolves have stuttered a little recently – but that could also just be the high standard we have come to expect from them recently! Aston Villa don’t really play a bad game but often fall just short of the line.

It is brilliant to see Philippe Coutinho enjoying himself on a football field again, he is often the difference and I think this could be another example of that. At the time of writing, he his close to agreeing a permanent deal with Villa – and what a signing that will be!

I wouldn’t add this game to the multiples, but I think a draw could be a sneaky punt.

5/10 Manchester United | Draw 7/2 | Leicester 46/10 (18:30)

Manchester United have resolved to make me look like a complete imbecile. Had I figured this out earlier…I would have been tempted to tip them to lose every game, and we’d be in the quarter finals of the champions League!

Anyway, this will be a tough game for United. Leicester haven’t been their usual clinical selves and with Jamie Vardy still a doubt – they might struggle in their attacking areas at Old Trafford.

I think United is the simple bet – but I say it tentatively.

Sunday 3 April

15/20 West Ham | Draw 26/10 | Everton 34/10 (15:00)

I’m going to be quite bullish about this and say right now: West Ham should be a banker here. The Hammers have adopted an approach when playing in London, impose themselves on whoever they play and look to test their opposition with aggression high and laterally.

Everton are in real trouble this year and as ludicrous as it sounds…they might soon be resigned to their relegation fate. Back the home win.

5/10 Tottenham | Draw 33/10 | Newcastle 5/1 (17:30)

For me, this could prove to be the game of the weekend. Tottenham have excellent players who can change a game on a dime. A manager who completely embodies raw passion and a style of play rugged enough to be played at Sunday league and elegant enough to still justify the ambience of the Premier League.

Newcastle will be up for this, and I don’t expect them to show Spurs too much respect. They have been solid this year and have managed to make life difficult for everyone they play. This should be a banger – but to get through unscathed and with a stable heart rate…back both teams scoring at 9/10.

Monday 4 April

29/10 Crystal Palace | Draw 47/20 | Arsenal 19/20 (21:00)

Monday night signs off the weekend’s action with an absolute humdinger! An Arsenal side who has been in blistering form travel to a Palace team who have reimagined themselves under Patrick Vieira. As the old saying goes, ‘attitude reflects leadership’. None more so than Palace this season. They are difficult to beat, energetic and proud on defence and happy to welcome any challenge…especially at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal have been superb though, the young talent which adorns this proud club’s crest, led by a young manager who is coming into his own more and more are starting to prove why patience in football (at least on the side of fans and management) should not become a lost art.

Arsenal are worthy favourites, and I wouldn’t discourage a bet on the away win. However Over 2.5 goals is available at 7/10 – good enough for me.

TREBLE @ 6/1

Brighton v Norwich: Over 2.5 Goals 21/20
West Ham Win 15/20
Tottenham vs Newcastle: BTTS 9/10
