UNIVERSAL CROWN finished 1.5 lengths behind VIVA MAMA last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line. The form of E HONEY’S penultimate run catches the eye when beaten a length over this C&D by Multimore and the booking of J. Moreira to ride merits respect.

NORDIC COMBINED is an improving sort and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest. He progressed nicely in his second outing when beaten just over a length by Joyful Mood over this C&D. He is the ride of South African jockey L. Hewitson and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. STREET SCREAM is nicely handicapped in this field and will just have to overcome a wide draw to have a say.

VIVA POPCORN finished right behind FEARLESS FIRE last time over this C&D. The pair meet on the same weight terms but VIVA POPCORN will have an advantage from pole position. NEARLY FINE has ability and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.

SIGHT HERO is still a one-time winner but he was only beaten just under a length by Right Honourable at Sha Tin last time and on form is difficult to ignore. CHARMING STEED wasn’t disgraced before the break when beaten three lengths by Bingo Bingo and should be one of the leading contenders in this type of field.
15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1650m

HK DRAGON backed up his favourite status last time when a narrow winner over this C&D. He remains in Class 4 and if overcoming the wide draw can make it quick back-to-back wins. E LEGEND produced an eye-catching last effort when beaten a length by Lucky Missile over this C&D. He was beaten by the top selection in his penultimate start, is 3kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
15:45 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap | 1650m

GALLANT CROWN finished well last time when beaten narrowly by Red Majesty over this C&D. He is likely to settle just off the pace and will be doing his best work in the closing stages. READY PLAYER ONE has placed in his last two outings and managed to finish in front of BEAUTY GLORY last time. He has a wide draw to overcome and H. Bentley will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

PARTY WARRIOR was beaten just over a length by SEIZING THE MOMENT last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and if given a more vigorous ride can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. CALIFORNIA REDWOOD caught the eye after a ten-month layoff when beaten half a length by the progressive Lucky Sweynesse. He should strip much fitter and shoulders a handy galloping weight in this contest.

EASON has really attractive form to his credit. He backed up his favourite status last time and the manner in which he drew off suggests there is plenty more to come from this individual. He was given a fair penalty but still looks ahead of the handicapper at this stage of his career and will take a power of beating in the lucky last. STOCK LEGEND finished 2.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and must be respected from pole position.
