DRAGON BABY drops in class and has won in this division previously. The booking of J. Moreira to ride is intriguing and the pair merit healthy respect.

WISDOM PATCH caught the eye last time and flew up late when narrowly beaten by Masterwork on this course. He shoulders a very lightweight and will be doing his best work in the closing stages. E BROTHER made a form return last time when runner-up behind Flying Dragon and is another horse that comes in at the bottom of the weights.

FLYING SWORD returns from a one-month layoff and looks well-placed in a shallow Class 4 event. He was only beaten 2.5 lengths by Like That over shorter at Happy Valley last time and should relish the step up in distance. LUCKY GOLD wasn’t disgraced last time when beaten three lengths by Super Dynamite. He drops in class and despite sharing top weight must be considered.
08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

CALIFORNIA VANES moved up like a winner in his last start when outrun in the latter stages by Fun N Glory. He is likely to adopt similar tactics and may be difficult to peg back at the wire. GALLANT HERO managed to finish just in front of GOOD BEAUTY last time. He is slightly worse off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 Handicap | 1800m

EEVEE raced wide into the straight last time when beaten a couple of lengths by ROBOT WARRIOR. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and if overcoming the wide draw could be one to cause an upset. RIGHT AS RAIN has placed in his last three outings and was only beaten just over a length by Shangai Dragon last time. He has cracked a neat draw and should give the top selection a run for his money.
09:35 – Race 6 | Class 3 Handicap | 1650m

APACHE PASS was beaten narrowly on this course last time by PARTY EVERYDAY. He is 1kg better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. TURIN REDSTAR produced a fair last effort when beaten 1.5 lengths on the turf. He has ability and should be one of the leading contenders.
10:05 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap | 1000m

FLYING SEASON was an ultra-impressive winner last time when trouncing Forte by four lengths. He is racing well with blinkers, goes for a hat-trick of wins and looks one of the better bets on the card. EQUALETTA BLITZ finished four lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
10:35 – Race 8 | Class 4 Handicap | 1650m

BLOTTING PAPER has placed in his last three outings and was only beaten a nose by MISSION BRAVO last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and is difficult to oppose with Z. Purton in the saddle. SUN OF MAKFI comes in at the bottom of the weights, has cracked a neat draw and can earn his first career triumph.
11:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

LIGHTNING BOLT finished positively last time when beaten a nose by LIKE THAT over this C&D. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. CAMPIONE was a narrow winner at the second time of asking. He looks progressive and will only need to overcome the wide draw to have a say.
11:45 – Race 10 | Class 3 Handicap | 1400m

SUPER WINNER set the pace last time when outrun in the closing stages by SUPER DYNAMITE. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and is the narrow first selection in a competitive Class 3 event. The South African bred KILINDINI produced a decent comeback run when beaten just under two lengths by Beauty Live. He should strip a much fitter horse and could be one to cause an upset in the lucky last!
