Race 6

KORA MAGIC is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has consistent formlines to her name, finishing second last time out over 1100M, one and a half lengths behind the winner. She jumped awkwardly that day, but recovered quickly to lead the field, only to be run out of it very late. The drop in trip should be to her liking and from a handy draw three, she looks to be the one to side with here.

DRIVING FORCE followed up his penultimate run victory over 1100M with a third place finish next time out when stepping up to seven furlongs, 3.7L behind the winner, but he was slow away that day and had to be held up at the top of the home straight before finishing off his race well and the form of that race has been franked. He faces a wide draw ten, but should do better returning to what appears to be a more suitable distance.

GABRIELLE is a 4yr old filly who raced just behind the leaders when ending up in third spot last time out over five furlongs, three lengths back from the winner. She jumps from gate two and should be included in all bets.

Race 7

DETHRONED sat just off the pace before accelerating well to collar the leaders in the shadow of the post to record a narrow head victory last time out over seven furlongs. From draw six, he is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card.

SCHILLER’S MYST is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she won over a mile three runs back before being a tad disappointing last time out when finishing seventh over seven furlongs, 7.3L adrift of the victor. She was however slow away and was returning from a 20 week break that day, so that effort should perhaps be forgiven. She jumps from gate four and could be the biggest threat to the top choice.

DEMEURER made solid improvement to win his last start over seven furlongs by half a length, despite coming three wide into the home straight, before striking the front at the 150M mark and then holding off all the late challengers in the dash down to the wire. He will have to negotiate draw nine, but nevertheless should be involved in the finish.

Race 8

The day’s value bet, PETAIN has finished second in his last two outings, the latest over seven furlongs, four lengths off the winner. He gets a useful gate three and will be hoping to go one better today.

RYLAN’S PICK has won two of his last three starts, the latest over five furlongs by one and a half lengths. He delivered a strong finish that day, hitting the front at the 200m pole to win going away. The colt faces a wide draw eleven, but given his style of racing, he is likely to be dropped out of it in the early stages and then start to pick off the frontrunners over the closing sages.

NO DEBT is the stable companion to the latter and had his consistency rewarded with a just under half length victory last time out over five furlongs. He will have to overcome a wideish draw nine, but on the plus side, he will get 4kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice and makes a solid back for the Brett Robb yard.

Race 9

ALL WORDS jumped awkwardly and overraced in the early stages before hanging in over the last 200M, but still managed to win his last start over nine furlongs by one length and the form of that race has been franked. He gets a cozy draw two and the double could be on the cards.

CORVO did not get a clear passage in the home straight so did well to finish second last time out over seven furlongs, 3.3L back from the winner and the form of that race has also been franked. From draw four, he should be seen as a big runner in this line-up.

MARTIAN QUEEN is a 4yr old filly taking on boys and renews her rivalry with the top pick, having finished fourth last time out in the race mentioned above, 2.2L back. She does meet her conqueror on 2.5kg better terms today, which should bring the pair closer together, but the former is preferred as the latter faces a wide draw fifteen, which won’t make her task easy.
