Amakhosi reserve team coach Vela Khumalo was full of praise for the Duba in an interview on the official club site, when saying: “Wandile is truly special, and I believe he will be a great player in the future.

“He needs to keep focused and working hard, and he will do a lot for this country,” Khumalo said.

The coach described Duba as “a deadly striker with confidence”.

In the recent DStv Diski Shield semi-final against Mamelodi Sundowns, the 18-year-old Duba scored in the 2-0 victory and could potentially be going places as Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane is a fan blooding young players into the AmaKhosi mix.

The young striker was in red-hot form recently in the Engen Knockout Challenge in Johannesburg scoring five goals in six games.

Duba is expected to be back in action for Chiefs in the Diski Shield final against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday at Mpumalanga Stadium, Hammarsdale.
