Philadelphia surely hasn’t been feeling like the city of brotherly love in recent weeks as the side could lose two of their star men, James Harden and Joel Embid
James Harden has been subject of a trade away from the Sixers ever since the season ended, he all but confirmed it earlier in the week with a statement saying “Daryl Morey is a liar and I will not be part of an organization that he is a part of” Daryl Morey is the Philadelphia 76ers president who made a statement on James saying that he will be part of the training camp ahead of the new season.
James Harden made his displeasure known with the Sixers as they didn’t offer him a long-term contract.
Harden, 33, is seeking a max extension as he wants guarantees on his future. It all went downhill when the player requested the trade in June via the player option, the former MVP no longer wants to stay in Philly, with Paul Georges Los Angeles Clippers the favoured destination.
Just when things couldn’t get any worse, Joel Embid has been seen making a few changes to his X “Formally known as twitter” account. The reigning MVP has removed Philadelphia geo location as well as the Sixers NFT.

Although fans could be reading more into this, Joel has recently penned a new $303 million contract last September 2022, tying him to the Sixers until the 2026/27 season. The Joel Embiid trade looks unlikely to happen, the fans have got nothing to worry about…..for now.
