India

For India, this series is a test of their depth and one they can afford to experiment in.

That said they will still be out to win the series and make life even tougher for South Africa in the Cricket World Cup Super League.

Shreyas Iyer showed that he is now a fully-fledged international batter capable of winning matches for India in the last match.

India got a bit lucky last time out when Keshav Maharaj opted to bat first on a pitch that got better as the day wore on but they were clinical in their execution.

South Africa

South Africa’s whirlwind tour of India ends in New Delhi and they will be out to end a difficult trip on a high note.

Temba Bavuma was left out of the second ODI due to a mild infection with Keshav Maharaj taking the helm but that decision has thrown up more questions than it answered.

If Bavuma is to remain white-ball skipper he has to find a way to contribute meaningfully as a player.

The Proteas attack missed their middle over wicket-taker Tabraiz Shamsi with Imaad Fortuin a poor replacement.

Verdict: India 82/100

India have the momentum now and should be able to close out the series in New Delhi.
