Pakistan

Babar Azam led from the front as Pakistan stormed back into the series with a huge run chase in a thrilling second One Day International.

Khushdil Shah showed his all round quality with a great effort as the finisher that got Pakistan over the line in the end.

Pakistan welcomed back Shaheen Afridi as his impact was almost immediate as he removed Aaron Finch with the third ball of the match; he is a bowler who makes things happen.

Mohammad Rizwan has shown glimpses of the brilliant form that has propelled Pakistan up the rankings in both white-ball formats and could be dangerous if he gets going.

Australia

Australia probably fancied their chances after posting their second 300 + total in succession, but their run glut proved to be lacking.

Sean Abbott and Cameron Green were attacked with the new ball in hand, setting Pakistan up to chase down 348.

Finch used seven bowling options which reflects that things really were not working for Australia in their defence.

The bright spot was the maiden ODI hundred for Ben McDermott and good top-order batting in general.

Verdict: Pakistan

Pakistan should close the series out now.
