To Win Match
South Africa 1/6 | Tie 25/1 | Bangladesh 43/10

South Africa

Despite an injury to Wayne Parnell the Proteas looked closer to their best in the second ODI.

It was an all-round improvement, as catches were held, and Quinton de Kock’s return gave the batting more oomph.

South Africa’s decision to go into a match with just five bowling options has to be questioned, even after the batting failure in the chase at SuperSport Park.

Kagiso Rabada showed that he can impact the game in all formats and is still the leader of the Proteas attack.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh were caught cold by the Wanderers two-paced nature but will be confident of competing back at the truer SuperSport Park.

Afif Hossain and Yasir Ali’s progression on this tour should be a thrill to coach Russell Domingo, with both batting talents promising much for the future.

Shakib Al Hasan is the danger man for Bangladesh at all times, and his early dismissal in the second ODI was celebrated wildly for that reason.

Mehidy Hasan’s spinning ability could once again prove a difference-maker for the Tigers.

Verdict: South Africa 1/6

The Proteas should edge a thriller at SuperSport Park Centurion, however, Bangladesh should be more competitive here than they were at the Wanderers.
