The Proteas are set to face Bangladesh in a thrilling T20I series from the 3rd of December until the 8th of December.

Moreeng said he thinks the Proteas are quality cricketers and this is an opportunity for them to give selectors a headache.

“The more competitive the environment, the better, because at the end of the day, you never what happens in the future. The more cricketers get experience, the more opportunities for them, I mean the next two years is the world cup so you never know what could happen.” said Moreeng.

Speaking on new players like Ayanda Hlubi and Eliz-Mari Marx who will be playing their very first T20I, Moreeng said the new players bring value and skill, they also bring more depth.

The good thing is that they’ve been part of our games for this past year and it’s good to see how they’ve grown and the confidence they have, they’re familiar with the other players in the team and they all work well together.” Said Moreeng.

The Proteas will be playing in their opening face-off with Bangladesh on Sunday the 3rd of December in Willmoore Park, Benoni.
