The 38-year-old struck 84 from 56 deliveries for RCB against the Punjab Kings on Thursday to guide his side to their third win from six matches.

Du Plessis retired from Test cricket in 2021 but was last selected for the Proteas’ T20 side in 2020, while his last ODI came at the 2019 World Cup – this despite continually shining on the T20 stage.
