Horner, who was the subject of an internal investigation after a female employee accused him of inappropriate and controlling behaviour was cleared following an internal investigation, but the media coverage has threatened to disrupt the start of Red Bull’s 2024 campaign.

Speaking ahead of the season’s second race, the Saudi Arabian GP Horner called for a line to be drawn under the incident so that the team could move forward.

It was also confirmed that the woman who lodged the complaint against Horner has been dismissed.

Speaking to the media ahead of the race weekend he said: “I spoke to Jos following the grand prix and it’s in everybody’s interests collectively that we have agreed to move on and focus on the future.

“We both have a vested interest in his son to get the best out of him.

“An awful lot has been made out of this.

“It is of great interest in different areas of the media for different reasons.

“It’s time now to draw a line under it.

“The reality is that there was a grievance raised, it was dealt with in the most professional manner by the group, that appointed an independent KC, one of the most reputable in the land.

“He took time to investigate all the facts. He looked at everything and he came to a conclusion where he dismissed the grievance.

“As far as I’m concerned, as far as Red Bull is concerned, we move on,” he said.

Scandal aside, Saudi Arabia is shaping up well for Red Bull as Max Verstappen set the fastest time in practice one on Thursday.
