FAKENHAM
Race 3 No3 CONCEROE (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Case – Jockey: Jack Andrews
CONCEROE travelled well for a long way before getting tired on jumps debut at Kelso. A neat individual, he should be suited by this tight track, and have learned sufficient to outpoint Commodore Miller.
Race 7 No6 PECKINPAH
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Tom Cannon
This looks a good opportunity for PECKINPAH to record a first success under Rules. A frequent earner, he returned from a lengthy absence to chase home the in form Robinshill at Leicester. Those exertions should have put the cutting edge on him for this competitive end to the card.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 1 No6 TWILIGHT REVENGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Ellie Mackenzie
TWILIGHT FEVENGE was a 200-1 shot when troubling the judge on debut at this track last month. The speedily-bred gelding has good prospects of another earning run from a plum draw, and can give perennial bridesmaid Doolily plenty to think about.
Race 3 No1 INDEPENDENT ACT
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: Christian Howarth
The only winner in the field, INDEPENDENT ACT has his penalty negated by a 7lb claiming apprentice and the combination break from the rail. If the Dubawi colt goes forward over today’s slightly longer trip he should prove hard to beat.
Race 7 No3 HOMERIC (Nap)
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Rab Havlin
Ulysses colt HOMERIC shaped with abundant promise when third on his Wolverhampton introduction, doing his best work at the finish to take home a minor cheque. He will be more streetwise for this slightly shorter assignment, for which he rates a worthy favourite.
