PARTY VIBES Uttoxeter, November 26th

PARTY VIBES a set a sensible gallop and jumped well in a race that only ever concerned her and odds-on Little Miss Dante. Although succumbing to the superior finishing speed of her rival, she lost no caste in defeat and can soon open her account for a syndicate headed by former champion jockey Richard Johnson.

CRAMBO Haydock Park, November 25th

CRAMBO was the one to take out of this Grade 3 handicap hurdle. Taking stock of his passage up the home straight it seems logical to deduce he might have won but for meeting interference. He had a mountain to climb at the second last, but despite being hampered stayed on strongly to be beaten a total of two and a half lengths into third. There should be a big pot in the compass of last season’s EBF Final winner.

CAROLE’S PASS Exeter, November 20th

CAROLE’S PASS was easy to back in this mares’ novice chase yet shaped with considerable promise. From a very good jumping family, she warmed to her task running out of the back straight and kept on in her own time to claim a minor cheque. She should have greatly benefitted from the experience and is one for the notebook.

TOP OF THE BILL Exeter, November 20th

Supporters of TOP OF THE BILL can only be pleasantly surprised that the gelding managed to get into the frame in this novices’ limited handicap chase. For much of the journey the gelding carried his head awkwardly to one side as if the cheek pieces that were added distracted his attention. Despite hanging left, he stayed on from an unpromising position to grab third. It was only his second run over fences and he’s learning.
