DONCASTER

Race 3 No4 ONE TRUE KING
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

ONE TRUE KING can end an 18-month wait for success on a first visit to the Town Moor. Equipped with different headgear, he posted his best run in a while when third in a competitive affair at Wetherby earlier in the month. The visor is retained, while Sam Twiston-Davies’s return to his saddle is another bonus to the gelding.

Race 4 No2 CHAMPAGNE TWIST (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

This track, the trip and the ground should all favour CHAMPAGNE TWIST, whose second to Peaky Boy at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day is the best form on offer. The former winning Irish pointer can add to his trainer’s good record on this course.

Race 5 SBK WARFIELD MARES’ HURDLE (Grade2)

No2 YOU WEAR IT WELL
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

YOU WEAR IT WELL proved a costly failure in the ‘Fighting Fifth’ Hurdle when third to Not So Sleepy in that Grade 1 switched from Newcastle to Sandown. The seven-year-old couldn’t reproduce the sparkle of her comeback triumph in a Listed race at Wetherby, but can bounce back. That form has worked out particularly well, with runner-up Luccia landing a valuable race at Ascot.

Race 7 No3 NOBLE SAVAGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Jordan Nailor

NOBLE SAVAGE possesses plenty of ability although it’s not easy knowing when he is going to use it. He delivered the goods at Taunton in November when having to buckle down to ensure the victory. That should have done him good mentally, while he’s been in good form at home ahead of this return to action.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 1 No4 SALADINS SON
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Rex Dingle

SALADINS SON has shown promise in better company and will most likely head the market for this novices’ hurdle. He faces some similarly unexposed types, but penalised Plumpton scorer Walks Like The Man could be the one to give him most to do.

Race 5 No1 BOWENSPARK (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Richard Patrick

BOWENSPARK ran well even though he was weakening at the time of his fall in a Grade 2 at Haydock last time. He takes a 7lb penalty into this novices’ hurdle, but in a notable class drop is the one to beat.
