BRIGHTON

Race 5 No2 PORTERINTHEJUNGLE
Trainer: Debbie Faulkner – Jockey: Rob Hornby

PORTERINTHEJUNGLE came out of the wilderness when scoring at Chepstow last week and is out to strike while the iron’s hot. She’s dropped to a workable mark, and with a back up success can justify her trainer’s decision to run her again quickly.

Race 6 No1 ROTHAY PARK
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: David Egan

Having put in a couple of solid efforts in defeat ROTHAY PARK wasn’t able to consolidate at Bath where he seemed ill at ease on the track. The chestnut is worth forgiving that blip, and if bouncing back can make this low grade handicap a first career success.

HAMILTON PARK

Race 2 No6 ROSE BRANCH
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Paul Mulrennan

ROSE BRANCH posted a first career win on debut for Palmer over this course and distance to suggest she’s benefitted from a change of scenery. The Kingman filly receives weight from the field in this tight-knit handicap, and although opposed by another recent winner in Miaswell, can follow up.

Race 6 No5 TEES DOUGE
Trainer: Adrian Nicholls – Jockey: Paddy Mathers

It’s taking TEES DOUGE longer to break his duck than his connections hoped but this looks a very good opening for the Dream Ahead gelding. Having taken away a minor cheque on his latest start at Doncaster he just needs to show that he can handle the drying ground, though unsettled conditions are forecast in this part of Scotland which if arriving would prove a boon.

STRATFORD

Race 1 No3 CALSHOT SPIT (Each Way)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Marc Goldstein

CALSHOT SPIT posted several placed efforts on the Flat and will have no issues over the trip on this switch to hurdling. He’s been sourced from the Channon stable like many horses West has done well with in the past, and should give a good account.

Race 5 No1 MATTERHORN (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Nicholls – Jockey: Harry Cobden

MATTERHORN hasn’t put a foot wrong in his back-to-back successes since going chasing, coming home unchallenged at Ludlow and Worcester. He had both Parc D’Amour and Gower Prince well beaten off on those occasions, and while higher in the weights can confirm his superiority.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 4 No1 ALASHOS (Nap)
Trainer: James Ferguson – Jockey: Adam Farragher

Showcasing colt ALASHOS doesn’t have the best of draws but he certainly has the best form courtesy of a narrow defeat at Brighton a fortnight ago. He should progress further from that second career start, and have too many guns for Twilight Ballet who rates a big danger if his recent Newmarket is overlooked.

BIPOT Perm (Races 1-6)

5, 1, 8 x 8, 2, 5 x 4 x 1 x FIELD x 1, 2
