ESCAPE ARTIST moved up like a winner in her last start over 1700m at the Vaal, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Linganomore. The daughter of Pomodoro takes a drop in class and is back against her own sex. She has plenty of scope and from her mid-field draw, she should be the one to beat.

CLAFOUTIS was not disgraced when finishing fourth in the Grade 2 Ipi Tombe Challenge last time. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Flower Alley returns to Handicap Company this afternoon and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
