NEXTMODEL takes a drop in class and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest. The booking of Purton to ride suggests he can threaten the top selection and make his presence felt.

SPLIT OF A SECOND was beaten half a length by CARRY THE DIAMOND before the break. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and is game veteran that merits the healthiest respect.
RAGING BLAZE shoulders a handy galloping mass, produced a fair last effort and could be one to cause an upset in this type of field.
13.45 – Race 3 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m
Selections: 3/9/2
VALIANT ELEGANCE fought off the leader and won in style last time. He is 4.5kgs worse off at the weights with TRADER on that effort but is still difficult to oppose in this contest.
FIVE ELEMENTS finished 1.5 lengths behind Beauty Glory in his comeback run and should strip fitter. Purton takes the ride and he may be able to coax a little extra out of him where it matters most.
14.15 – Race 4 |Class 2 Handicap | 1650m

FA FA bounced back to good form last time when beaten narrowly by TELECOM FIGHTERS over this C&D. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and is the narrow first selection.
SAVAQUIN was beaten just under a length from a wide draw last time out. He looks nicely handicapped and if retuning fit can go close.
14.45 – Race 5 | Class 5 Handicap | 1650m

LOTUS FAVORITES produced a fair last effort when beaten by WinWin ThirtyThree who has since franked the form and will have strong claims if overcoming the wide barrier.
SMILING FACE was a beaten favourite last time out. He has cracked pole and interestingly Hewitson has opted to ride the top selection.
15.15 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

JUMBO LEGEND shifted and finished positively from off the pace last time when beaten just under two lengths by Durham Star. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and is a leading contender.
EXUBERANT challenged strongly when beaten half a length by Hercules over this C&D. He shoulders the same weight and has the ability to go one better.
15.45 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap | 1650m

COMET SPLENDIDO raced on the speed and was outrun in the straight by Nearly Fine last time. He was just beaten by the same rival in his penultimate start over this C&D and looks one of the better bets on the card. BULLETPROOF is well drawn and won his last start over this C&D before the break.
16.15 – Race 8 | Class 4 Handicap | 1800m

KUNGFUMASTER PANDA raced wide into the straight last time and tried hard all the way to the line. His record over this distance is a slight concern but he will have a say with better luck in running.
TAILOR MADE tried hard to reel in the leader last time and from his neat draw may adopt similar tactics.
CHATER PINS finished just under a length behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
16.50 – Race 9 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

BRAVE DREAMS ran on from far back last time when beaten just over two lengths by Good Buddy. He finished close-up in his penultimate start under De Sousa and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits.
DURHAM STAR was an impressive comeback winner despite racing wide into the straight. He will strip fitter and can make it quick back-to-back wins.
